In most cases, this corresponds to the last time the user opened your application or navigated through your website while Refiner was active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"partial\">Partial Responses<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, Refiner stores survey responses after each completed step of a survey. If a user leaves a survey before reaching the end, the answers they already submitted remain available in your Refiner dashboard. We refer to these as <strong>Partial Responses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Collecting Partial Responses gives you additional data to work with, especially for longer surveys where users may drop off after the first few questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you prefer to store only responses from users who complete the entire survey, you can disable Partial Responses under <strong>Settings &gt; Data Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"627\" src=\"https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2024-11-03-at-13.15.35-1024x627.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26439\" srcset=\"https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2024-11-03-at-13.15.35-1024x627.png 1024w, https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2024-11-03-at-13.15.35-800x490.png 800w, https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2024-11-03-at-13.15.35-768x471.png 768w, https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2024-11-03-at-13.15.35-1536x941.png 1536w, https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Screenshot-2024-11-03-at-13.15.35.png 1596w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>When Partial Responses are enabled, you can configure:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether Partial Responses should trigger alerts and integrations that would normally run when a completed response is received<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How many minutes Refiner should wait before considering an unfinished response <strong>closed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the option is activated, you can choose after how many minutes Refiner should consider a partial survey response as &#8220;closed&#8221;. You can also choose whether or not partial survey responses should trigger alerts and integrations that usually only trigger on completed responses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"purge\">Purge All User Data<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Under <strong>Settings &gt; Data Settings<\/strong>, you can also <strong>purge all user data<\/strong> from your environment. Any user traits associated with these profiles are deleted as well.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tracked Events:<\/strong> All events recorded using the <a href=\"https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/kb\/data-index\/tracking-user-events\/\">trackEvent<\/a> method of the JavaScript SDK, Mobile SDKs, or API.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Survey Responses:<\/strong> All survey responses collected in the environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Purging user data takes effect immediately and <strong>cannot be undone<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All other configuration data, including surveys, traits, segments, dashboards, and alerts, remains unchanged, so you can continue using the environment afterwards.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Refiner gives you full control over the user data stored in your environment.
