Depending on your preferred layout, tag usage can be displayed as either a bar chart or a tag cloud.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visualization options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bar chart<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The bar chart displays tags as a ranked list. Frequently used tags appear more prominently than tags with fewer occurrences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clicking a tag in the cloud opens the Responses List with a filter applied for that tag. The name appears as the chart headline and should help users understand at a glance what the chart displays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Use a specific name when your dashboard contains multiple Tags Overview Charts, such as <strong>Most common feature requests<\/strong> or <strong>Reasons for cancellation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Description<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Add an optional description to provide additional context. The description appears as a tooltip when users hover over the information icon next to the chart name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use it to explain:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Which surveys or responses are included<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How the tags are assigned<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Which filters are applied<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The purpose of the chart<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How your team should interpret the results<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Default order<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose how tags are ordered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Alphabetical<\/strong> \u2013 Tags are sorted alphabetically by name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Count<\/strong> \u2013 Tags are sorted by how frequently they occur.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sorting by count is usually the best option when you want to identify the most common tags. Alphabetical ordering can make it easier to locate a particular tag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Top results only<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Enable <strong>Top results only<\/strong> to limit the chart to the most frequently occurring tags.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is useful when your project contains many tags and displaying all of them would make the chart difficult to read. Less frequently used tags are excluded from the visualization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visualize as<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose how tag usage is displayed (see above):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Tag cloud<\/strong> \u2013 Displays tags in a visual cloud, with more frequently used tags appearing more prominently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bar chart<\/strong> \u2013 Displays tags as bars, making their occurrence counts easier to compare.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Use the tag cloud for a quick visual summary. Use the bar chart when precise comparisons and rankings are more important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visualized tags<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Choose which tags should appear when a tag filter is applied through the dashboard sidebar or the chart\u2019s overwrite filters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Only selected tags<\/strong> \u2013 Displays only the tags explicitly selected in the active tag filter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>All response tags<\/strong> \u2013 Displays every tag attached to the survey responses that match the active filters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This option changes which tags are visualized, not which responses are included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, suppose you filter the dashboard by the tag <strong>Feature request<\/strong>. The chart first finds all responses containing that tag:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>With <strong>Only selected tags<\/strong>, the chart displays only <strong>Feature request<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>With <strong>All response tags<\/strong>, the chart also displays any other tags attached to those responses, such as <strong>Reporting<\/strong>, <strong>Integrations<\/strong>, or <strong>Mobile app<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>All response tags<\/strong> option is useful for discovering which topics frequently appear together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overwrite filters<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, the chart uses the filters applied through the dashboard sidebar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can overwrite these filters for an individual chart to analyze a specific subset of responses. For example, you can limit the chart to particular surveys, audiences, response tags, or time periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This allows you to add multiple Tags Overview Charts to the same dashboard and compare tag usage across different surveys or user segments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adjust size and position<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tags Overview Chart can be freely resized and repositioned on your dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A larger chart provides more room for displaying tags, particularly when using the tag cloud or visualizing a large number of results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Best practices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use the <strong>Bar chart<\/strong> visualization when you need to compare exact tag frequencies or clearly rank the most common topics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the <strong>Tag cloud<\/strong> for a compact visual overview and when you want team members to quickly explore the responses associated with individual tags.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enable <strong>Top results only<\/strong> when your project contains many tags. Limiting the number of displayed results makes the most important patterns easier to identify.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use <strong>All response tags<\/strong> together with a tag filter to explore relationships between topics. This can reveal which tags frequently occur on the same responses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When comparing different surveys or audiences, create separate charts and use consistent ordering and visualization settings.
