Depending on the chart type, the following options are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"type\">Chart type<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The chart type option can be set when creating a new chart and can&#8217;t be changed once a chart was added to a dashboard. You can select one or multiple surveys questions to include in your chart. If needed, you can override these global filters and set custom filters for individual charts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can filter survey response data by<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>User segment<\/strong>: If activated, only survey responses where the user matches one of the selected segments are included in your chart.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Surveys<\/strong>: If activated, only responses given to certain surveys are included in the chart.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tags<\/strong>: If activated, only responses with a specific tag are included in the chart.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>When activated, you&#8217;ll see an orange icon in the top right corner of the survey, indicating that specific data filters are active.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"description\">Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Next to choosing a descriptive name for your chart, you can also add a short description of the data shown in the chart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"758\" src=\"https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-22-at-11.12.58-1024x758.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-26098\" srcset=\"https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-22-at-11.12.58-1024x758.png 1024w, https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-22-at-11.12.58-800x592.png 800w, https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-22-at-11.12.58-768x568.png 768w, https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/Screenshot-2024-05-22-at-11.12.58.png 1065w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>When you add a description for a chart, you&#8217;ll see a tooltip icon next to the chart name. You can choose between Day, Week, Month, Quarter and Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/kb\/charts\/bar-chart\/\">Bar-Chart<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/kb\/charts\/distribution-trend-chart\/\">Distribution Trend<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/kb\/charts\/tag-overview\/\">Tag Overview<\/a> have an option to set the default order of the data &#8220;Alphabetical&#8221; or by &#8220;Count&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Each chart on a dashboard has a set of settings.
