Surveys in draft mode remain private and are not distributed until they\u2019re published.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Publishing a survey is straightforward, but Refiner also supports a more controlled workflow for larger teams where publishing rights are restricted (see below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Simple publishing workflow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Each survey in your Survey List includes a Publish button next to it. Click this button to publish your survey and make it available to your target audience. Once published, the survey will start collecting responses immediately based on your targeting rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can unpublish a survey at any time to stop collecting responses and return it to draft mode.<br>In the three-dot menu (\u22ef) next to each survey, you\u2019ll find additional publication details, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The timestamp of the last publish or unpublish action<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The team member who performed the action (visible when hovering over the timestamp)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This direct publishing workflow is ideal for most teams and allows you to manage surveys quickly and easily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"restricted\">Restricted publishing workflow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When collaborating in a larger team, you may want to control who can make surveys public.<br>Refiner\u2019s restricted publishing workflow allows you to separate survey creation from publication through <a href=\"https:\/\/refiner.io\/docs\/kb\/account-settings\/team-access-rights\/#roles\">user roles<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this setup:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Contributors<\/strong> can create and edit surveys but cannot publish them directly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Managers<\/strong> and <strong>Admins<\/strong> have full publishing rights and can approve or decline publication requests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>When a Contributor is ready to go live, they can click request publication.
