We’re excited to announce a powerful enhancement to our segmentation engine that gives you greater control when building segments based on survey responses.
Previously, when you created a segment condition that reads data from survey responses, the engine always evaluated all responses a user submitted for the specified data field. While this approach provided comprehensive insights, it sometimes made it challenging to target users based on the most relevant or recent feedback.
With this update, you can now choose exactly which survey response to consider when matching users to segments:
- First response – segment based on the user’s initial answer
- Latest response – use the most recent feedback
- Second-last response – focus on the response just before the latest
- All responses – keep the previous behavior by considering every answer
This flexibility lets you tailor your segments with much more precision, whether you want to react to the first response, track changes over time, or focus on the most recent user sentiment.
