Qualaroo's story
Qualaroo has been around since 2010. It pioneered the "Nudge" survey format, the beginning of what would become in-app surveys.
Scaleworks acquired it in 2016, then ProProfs bought it in 2020. Since then, development has slowed. The interface feels dated compared to modern alternatives, and users frequently mention the UI looks like it hasn't been touched in years.
That said, Qualaroo earned its reputation for a reason. The exit-intent targeting and IBM Watson sentiment analysis were genuinely innovative when they launched.
