Question Types

Refiner offers all the question types you would expect from survey software, from rating scales and choice questions to open text questions and forms. You can combine them with message panels, calls-to-action, and survey logic to create a survey that fits your needs.

Below is an overview of each group, with links to dedicated pages explaining the available settings.

Rating Questions

Use rating questions to measure satisfaction, loyalty, or other opinions on a defined scale. They help you track scores over time and compare responses across user groups.

Choice Questions

Let users select from predefined answers. Use choice questions to understand preferences, categorize feedback, or ask a quick yes-or-no question.

Open-Ended Questions

Let users answer in their own words or provide details through a form. Use these questions to understand the reasons behind a rating or collect additional information.

Message Panels

Display a message without asking for a response. Use these panels to introduce your survey, provide instructions, or thank users for their feedback.

Next Steps

Guide users to an action, such as leaving a review, booking a call, or visiting a help article. Display a call-to-action or automatically redirect users to a website.

Logic Elements

Alongside the Survey Logic you can configure on each element, standalone logic elements let you jump to another element or end the survey. To keep the survey flow simple, we recommend adding logic directly to each element instead of adding stand-alone logic elements.
